About Me
As an empathetic UX/UI Designer, I thrive on transforming complex challenges into intuitive and delightful user experiences. My design philosophy is rooted in understanding user needs deeply and collaborating to build solutions that truly make an impact.
Upon graduating from the U of M in 2015, my career path wasn’t immediately clear. I spent the next four years immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of a local brewery, where I enjoyed connecting with customers and working alongside colleagues to enhance our workflows. The beer industry was booming during that time, making my role feel incredibly engaging and rewarding.

However, as my personal interests evolved, I recognized a craving for something more – a deeper challenge that would truly ignite my potential. That's when I discovered Prime Digital Academy's UX Design bootcamp in Minneapolis. It was one of those moments where the path ahead was instantly clear that this was my next step.
Upon graduating from the intense UX Design bootcamp, I felt equipped as a UX professional, ready to take on whatever design hurdles came my way. Since then, I've had the chance to jump into several professional roles, often wearing hats as both a UX generalist and a UI specialist, and even diving deep into research projects when needed.
What truly gets me excited about this field is seeing the tangible difference my work makes. There's genuinely nothing more satisfying than obtaining user feedback and insights, shaping them into new or improved designs, and then seeing their reaction as they experience the improved design. That moment of validation when you see their excitement because what they asked for is right there is just amazing and truly rewarding. Helping to make products better, easier, and more enjoyable for people is so fulfilling, and honestly, it makes me want to double down on everything I do to improve people’s lives through design.
Away from my design work, I tend to channel my creativity into other areas. I'm a drummer in a band called Sunnbather, and I enjoy contributing to our marketing and promo, which lets me experiment with things like social media content, video editing, and even a little sound design. Beyond that, I love unwinding with video games, cheering on the Minnesota Wild, fine-tuning my fantasy hockey rosters, catching up on the latest TV shows, trying new restaurants with my wife, and experiencing live music whenever my favorite bands are in town. Our two German Shepherds (Jones and Mikko) and our calico cat (Emma) keep life at home very exciting and interesting. If we didn’t love them so much, we'd probably be traveling the world a lot more!
